Chevrolet offers a choice of three engines. Many of the Tahoe models on our lot at Cole-Krum Chevrolet, LLC run on 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engines. One of these engines will give you 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. This is already plenty of power, but we know that many of our Schoolcraft customers prefer to push the limits in this regard. If you're intrigued by the idea of driving something more capable, check out the Tahoe models with 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8s. They produce 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
The third option is a turbo-diesel that's quite efficient, capable of earning up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway. It's a 3.0-liter Duramax model that generates 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
